BASE2 takes an incredibly complex series of requirements and makes them work by hiding most of the complexity. To give you some examples, our software communicates to your customer (using a wide variety of methods), converts the incoming data (in a wide variety of formats) into reports (in a wide variety of formats) into a single consistent table for shipping and another for planning. The software prints bar code labels (in a wide variety of formats) from those consistent tables. It can print customer-specific or WIP labels at the end of the assembly line (using a wide variety of connections from manual activation to PLC driven). It can handle batch or radio frequency scanning in a variety of ways and it can provide real-time truck loading in multiple ways. It provides links to a wide variety of ERP systems.
BASE2 has been creating innovative software solutions and winning the praise of customers since 1981 (see our Testimonials). Our clients range from large multinational corporations all the way down the supply chain. In 1987, the company shifted its focus to Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) at the urging of a major automobile manufacturer that was dissatisfied with the EDI software used by its suppliers. The result was AutoLine, an MS-DOS based, year 2000 compliant software. Our software steadily expanded through the years including a complete rewrite for Microsoft Windows in 1996. Now the BASE2 system is a complete stand-alone release management system encompassing the full range of EDI with options for multiple means of bar code label production and multiple scanning methods and integrating with multiple ERP systems.
Currently, BASE2 supports clients worldwide, although most are in North America, and has implemented EDI specifications for hundreds of Trading Partners.
